Soccer Analyst Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global hiatus, but can the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest coach.
So, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
A family member told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
Fulham have have plenty of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Considering the home side's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
